So guess who's favorite hero ever got elected president of the United States of America? Mine! Obama will make a lovely president, though I don't agree with him on everything, he's pretty great. And John McCain wasn't the worst man in the world, but Sarah Palin... don't even get me started. That woman drives me insane. Actually.
And I 'worked the auction' yesterday, meaning I volunteered at the school auction - they're biggest fundraiser. The theme was 'Space,' don't ask me why.
I have found a new love. Evening gowns.
All of the ladies looked so gorgeous! They wore gloves, and floor length gowns and huge rings and lost black pearl bracelets and talked with other women who owned diamond companies about replacing gigantic diamond studs when one got lost and got really, really drunk and took photos and cried and laughed and looked beautiful the whole time. It was amazing! These rich ladies looked amazing and I had a great time.
These were a few of my favorites...

I adore this white dress - the ribbon is so cute!

(From left to right, clockwise) Another Spacey gown - the woman who wore this was quite pretty but the dress was a bit... much. Another beautiful dress, I believe that two ladies wore dresses in this style. I thought they were some of the most elegantly dressed girls there. Ah, yes, the stunning black pearl bracelet. It was gorgeous, but then someone left it in the bathroom. Goodness knows who lost that one. And it was expensive, too. I love this ruffled dress from Nordstroms. Though no one wore it, there were a lot of ruffles at the party - almost too many.
